Thank you for choosing Main Street Motel. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible about our policies and amenities. Please review this Guest Information. You are responsible for all information. Read carefully, as our policies have changed. Please call us at 920-868-2201 if you have questions or need to make changes to your reservation.

Deposit & Cancellation Policies

Deposit Policy: One-night stays require payment in full at time of booking. Reservations of two-nights or more require a 50% deposit at time of booking. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.  

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 14 or more days prior to your arrival date are refunded in full, less a $25 processing fee. Cancelling multiple rooms over the same dates requires 21 days advance notice. If less than 14/21 days advance notice is given for your cancellation(s), your deposit is non-refundable. Non-refundable means payment is withheld, even if plans change or unexpected circumstances arise. This policy applies to any changes made to your reservation, including shortening your stay or changing your dates or room type. Deposits from reservations cancelled inside 14/21 days cannot be transferred to gift certificates or future stays. There are no refunds on early departures.

Why This Policy?: Our family-run small business truly values every reservation. Because we reserve your room exclusively for you, we turn away other customers hoping to stay with us. In the case of a cancellation inside 14/21 days, the financial loss is shared: we lose the balance due and the customer loses their deposit. We appreciate your understanding.

Third-Party Websites: If you make your reservation through an online travel agency (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.) you are responsible for the policies you agreed to through those websites. When you book through an OTA you are not booking directly with Main Street Motel. Reservations made through an OTA must also be cancelled through them.

No Elevator

We offer rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor. Rooms on the 2nd floor are accessible by stairs only. We do not have an elevator. If you have a floor request, please call us to make your reservation and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Free Parking

We offer free onsite parking for our guests. You may also use street parking.

Daily Housekeeping By Request

Daily housekeeping is available by request. Please let the front desk know if you’d like daily housekeeping. If you don’t want Daily Housekeeping, we will make accommodation for fresh bath towels daily, along with anything else you may need replenished.

Lost & Found

Lost and found items are held for 30 days and then donated to a local charity. Please call us if you’d like your item(s) returned. We ask that you pay shipping costs.

No Bikes in Guest Rooms

We invite our guests to use our outdoor bike rack, located behind the office, near the soda machine. Please bring a lock to secure your bicycle. Bicycles are not permitted on our balconies, patios, railings or inside guest rooms.

Taxes

Prices are subject to all applicable taxes at time of check-in.

No Show” Reservations

A confirmed reservation is a two-way commitment. We commit to holding that particular room for your desired dates, therefore not selling it to someone else. You commit to staying in that room for the dates we’re holding it for you. “No Shows” are financially responsible for the entire cost of their reservation. Reservations will be held until 8:30am the day following their scheduled day of arrival.

Extra Room Items

If extra room items are needed (pillows, linens, hair dryer, etc.) please contact the front desk during office hours. Outside of office hours, please contact our After Hours Answering Service number listed in the 3-ring information binder in your guest room.

No Grilling or Campfires

No grilling or campfires are permitted on our grounds.

Gift Certificates

We gladly accept Door County gift certificates, to purchase visit: www.doorcounty.com/gift-certificates. We currently do not offer Main Street Motel gift certificates.

Fun Policy

You must unwind and relax while in Door County! We want our guests to have an enjoyable vacation. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know!

No Smoking Policy

NEW in 2026 | No Smoking Policy: For the comfort and safety of all guests, Main Street Motel is a 100% Smoke-Free Environment. Smoking of any kind (including but not limited to, e-cigarettes, cigars and vaping devices) is prohibited in all indoor and outdoor areas, including the parking lot. We appreciate your cooperation!

Multiple Cancellations Policy

Special Requests

Although we strive to fulfill guest requests concerning location, room layout or proximity of accommodations, we are unable to guarantee such requests. Please call us with special requests when you make your reservation. It becomes more difficult and unlikely to make changes closer to your arrival date. Every effort will be made to honor you request based on motel occupancy.

No Pets

No pets or emotional support animals are allowed. A cleaning fee will be imposed if there is an occurrence. You will also be asked to leave with no refund for the unused portion of your reservation. We gladly accept service animals that are specifically trained to aid a disabled person.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Our guests are invited to use our complimentary Tesla electric vehicle charging stations. Please let the office know if you plan to use the charging stations. Our charging stations are not open to the public.

Baby Equipment

We do not supply baby equipment. We recommend our local BabyQuip.

Office Hours

Our front desk opens daily at 8:30am, May-October. Please inquire as to closing time.

Check-In Time: 3:00pm-7:00pm

We cannot guarantee early check-ins. Please give us a call on your drive up and we’re happy to keep you posted on the status of your room. Late check-ins are available upon request. If you will be arriving after 7:00pm, please call in advance to make arrangements with the office.

Check-Out Time: 10:30am or Before

If you depart before the office opens, please leave your keys in the key box outside the office door — this lets us know you’ve left and we can start preparing your room for the next guest.

Room Rates & Occupancy

Rates are based on double occupancy (2 people). Up to 2 additional adults or children (3 years and older) are charged $10 per night per person when using existing beds. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots in our rooms. Children 2 and younger stay for free. Rates are based on availability and subject to change.

Early Departures

You will be charged for the full number of nights you have reserved, even if you decide to leave early for any reason or under any circumstance. If you’re looking for more flexibility, we’d suggest waiting until your desired dates get closer to see what is available, rather than reserving your room in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds due to weather.

Minimum Stay Requirements

There is a minimum stay requirement for most days. There is limited availability for 1-night stays. 1-night stays require payment in full at time of booking and are non-refundable.

Cleaning & Disinfecting

Our cleaning and disinfecting protocols pay particular attention to high-touch items. Public spaces and communal areas will be cleaned and disinfected with an emphasis on hard surfaces.
